Entrevista a The Jokers:

Influenciados principalmente por The Who, AC/DC, Free, Aerosmith, etc.

Interview to The Jokers, questions answered by Paul Hurst (Guitarist) and Dan Evans (Drums)

1.First of all, Welcome to Spain The Jokers!, being great students of the sound Hard and Classic Rock Blues, how managed through these 10 years and after 3 studio albums and now facing your Spanish tour ?

Thank you. We have managed through the last 10 years with lots of hard work and determination. We enjoy what we do, which helps a lot. We have played in Spain twice before so we are very much looking forward to coming back and playing to your amazing audiences.

2. How did “Hurricane” (2015) come together guys and should be a story behind the title of record or song? In sitting down to record “Hurricane” what were your goals and do you think you accomplished them compared to previous one in 2013 Rock’n’Roll is Alive?

With Hurricane the goal was to capture the raw live feel of a rock concert. We took the strongest elements from both of the previous albums and through touring constantly and playing the music live we saw what our audience responded to the best.

3. Could you tell Spanish audience guys musical background The Jokers and Who inspires you to do what you do and which musicians that have influenced your sound and approach to creating your own style of music?

We have more of a classic/blues rock style. We are influenced by, The Who, AC/DC, Free, Aerosmith, etc…

4. What is the best satisfaction you would like to take with you after the shows in Spain?

That our fans have enjoyed the show and feel that they have had a true rock n roll experience.

5. What are the best and worst parts of being on tour guys?

Best Parts – playing the shows, getting to meet our fans and interact with them.
Worst Part – long journeys, missing our families.

6. What kind of music you guys listen to while on the road in your van? Any good song, record, band you lately like ? Do you know Spanish Rock or Rock artist, etc

We listen to the radio a lot, Free, AC/DC.

7. What are your feelings about what happened in Paris a last year? How do you think these issues can be solved? Living in UK, do you think a situation like one lived at the Eagles of Death Metal concert could have ever happened there?

Unfortunately in the world we live in today you can never predict what will happen, but it is important to not let this rule your life. We will be playing in Belgium this week only week after the trouble there, so hopefully we will stay safe.

8. Is There anything you want to tell us we won’t ask you The Jokers? and Would you mind send Dirty Rock readers a message and encourage them to see The Jokers in your upcoming shows in Spain?

We can not wait to come and see you all in Spain, we have some new exciting tracks for you all to check out and we want to bring some true hard british rock to Spain – Rock on guys and we will see you soon.
