The Brooklyn-based Moss brothers, The Brother Brothers, have added a little bit more country to a Simon & Garfunkel feel and released their second studio album this April called Calla Lily, the follow-up to their debut album, Some People I Know (2018). The 10-track album was produced and mixed by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Brandi Carlile, Vance Joy), recorded at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, Washington and mastered by Phillip Shaw Bova (Andy Shauf, Father John Misty).

Calla Lily swaddles the listener tightly with luscious melodies, sweet sounds and warm, buttery and inviting lyrics. The album revolves around how they yearn to get back on the road, and to recover some kind of ‘normalcy’. Twins David and Adam Moss play the violin and guitar and sing as if they were two of the same. The Everly Brothers-ish duo keep it simple on the record and have found a way to create moments that aren’t life-shattering, but instead of simpler times, which ring true despite their size and scope. Less is more. And The Brother Brothers prove it over and over again on this wonderful album.
