“Live At The Whisky A Go Go: The Complete Recordings”, es el título de una caja de seis discos que contiene completas se publicó el pasado mes de octubre por primera vez las siete actuaciones que Otis Redding ofreció en el club de Los Ángeles The Whisky A Go Go en tres días entre el viernes 8 y el lunes 10 de abril de 1966 y parte de aquel material fue editado póstumamente en 1968 en el segundo disco en directo de Redding titulado “In Person At The Whisky A Go Go”.
Esta nueva edición de conciertos de Otis Redding cuenta con una versión inédita hasta el momento de «Mr. Pitiful». Recordemos que aquellas actuaciones de Otis en la legendaria sala californiana coincidió con la publicación unos días antes de su cuartio disco The Soul Album.
Otis Redding se acompañó en aquellas siete actuaciones de los siguientes músicos: James Young (guitarra), Ralph Stewart (bajo), Elbert Woodson (batería), Katie Webster (piano), Robert Holloway, Robert Pittman y Donald Henry saxofonistas tenores, Sammy Coleman y John Farris trompetistas, y Clarence Johnson al trombón.
