Neil Young anuncia nuevo disco y gira norteamericana con la banda Promise of the Real, banda de dos hijos de Willie Nelson, Lukas y Micah Nelson además de publicar un álbum conjunto The Monsanto Years el próximo 29 de junio como Neil Young and Promise of the Real.
La nueva gira de Neil Young se llamará The Rebel Content Tour featuring Neil Young and Promise of the Real (with special guest) e que incluirá a diferentes artistas invitados durante esa gira que comienza el 5 de julio en Milwaukee.

Dicha noticia se hizo pública el pasado 16 de abril en una actuación sorpresa de Neil Young and Promise of the Real en una cervecería en Santa Barbara en California.
The Monsanto Years se trata de un álbum conceptual de protesta contra la empresa agrícola Monsanto, contra la que Young ha batallado a lo largo de los años y a la que acusa de modificar genéticamente los ingredientes (por eso el pasado año inició el músico una campaña contra Starbucks, por colaborar con Monsanto).
The Monsanto Years de Neil Young y Promise of the Real se publicará en CD y DVD.
