Entrevista a Dirty Thrills

Entrevista a Dirty Thrills

Entrevista a Dirty Thrills 2016:

Es rock and roll, supongo.

Interview to Dirty Thrills:

1.First of all, Welcome to Spain Dirty Thrills!, being great students of the dirty sound Hard Rock Blues , how managed through the years and after couple EP’s and your Dirty Thrills album of 2014, how are you facing your next Spanish tour?

We are really looking forward to our Spanish tour, and seeing the sights along the way. We have played In Barcelona before with legendary band EUROPE, and the crowd was fantastic, and loved us. We are hoping for the same response 🙂

2. How did “Dirty Thrills” come together guys and should be a story behind the title of record or song? In sitting down to record “Dirty Thrills” what were your goals and do you think you accomplished them and a new album is coming?

We wrote our album ‘Dirty Thrills’ over a period of 8 months, where we were trying out different ideas and finding our true sound. We experimenting a lot musically, and goal was to make the best album we could. However, we still feel our best songs are yet to come.

3. What are your feelings about what happened in Paris last year? How do you think these issues can be solved?  Living in UK, do you think a situation like one lived at the Eagles of Death Metal concert could have ever happened there?

It’s obviously a terrible tragedy what happened in Paris, and it’s scary to think that it can happen anywhere. we don’t really use our music to send political messages, it’s a release and for enjoyment.

4. Could you tell Spanish audience guys musical background and Who inspires you to do what you do and which musicians that have influenced your sound and approach to creating your own style of music?

The four of us come from various musical backgrounds, and take influence from a lot of different bands and genres. Our bands sound is derived from rock n roll bands like Rival Son’s, Led Zeppelin and The White Stripes.

5. What are the best and worst parts of being on tour?

The best part is obvious the music. We love the thrill of getting to travel and go to new places to play our music, meet our fans and have a good time. There’s nothing better :). The worst part is definitely when you come home, go back to reality and have next to no money. But that’s just rock n roll, I guess.

6. What kind of music you guys listen to while on the road in your van and who carries the biggest suitcase and what is in it? Any good song, record, band you lately like ? Do you know Spanish Rock or Rock artist, etc?

We listen to a lot of audiobooks in the van, like ‘the Ricky gervais show’, which is really funny!. Ha Louis has the biggest suitcase because of all his rock n roll clothes, he owns a lot of boots and shirts. We recently got into The Dead Reds after recently playing with them back in the UK, have a listen to them, they are great!

7. What’s the seediest place in which you have ever played and What’s the most absurd thing that’s ever happened to you during a show? What do you drink during the shows and what kind of bad things do you do while playing? Are you guys Beer or Whiskey?

When we started off we played a lot of seedy pubs and bars back in London, but we embrace all of that. It all adds to the atmosphere of the gig.
The most obscure thing that has happened was a drunk girl got on stage at one of our shows and forced herself on Louis. She wouldn’t stop trying to kiss him and he had to get security. We drink anything from beer, rum to whisky, wherever the moods takes us. We are an extremely energetic band and are always jumping on furniture and playing in the crowd.

8. Do you foresee a long career as a band?

Of course we are in it for the long haul. However we are very conscious of our health and understand that you need to stay focuses as well as having a good time!

9. Is There anything you want to tell us we won’t ask you Dirty Thrills? and Would you mind send Dirty Rock readers a message and encourage them to see Dirty Thrills in your upcoming shows in Spain?

We’d like to invite Spanish rock fans to come and see us, as you won’t be disappointed. We put on a hell of a show, and guarantee that you’ll have the time of your life!
